The Root of Perimenopause Rage

Hey, from New York City on the 37th Floor doing little dry bath meditation solitude moment.
Choose your adventure... continue reading or watch the vlog here on YouTube.
I wanted to talk about a few things that I don't really see anybody talking about.
It is...
Why so are many women in their forties are feeling stuck?
They're feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and disconnected.
A few things I wanted to talk about:
One of them is thinking you can just have "the perfect diet".
You can eat all the nutrients, fat, fiber, and protein.
You can do all the supplements, and do all the things.
And while I've found, and a lot of friends and others have found that is super helpful, it's not always the one thing.
It's a piece.
To the puzzle.
Diet / nutrition is not the ONE thing (there's environment, lifestyle, emotional, and spiritual aspects). Plus, sometimes when you focus on food too much, it can become a stressor. If you focus on it too much, it can feel like a full-time job (which can get exhausting, overwhelming, and led to perfectionism).
Speaking from experience - what I've found, is by focusing on just nutrition / diet can lead to isolation. Perhaps you've felt some restriction of social time or anxiety when you leave your kitchen.
During this time of hormonal shifting, I've found - it's not when you want to be in solitude, so much so that you're in isolation because then you start to feel the depression, and then it can get really hard to crawl out of that deep hole.
The second thing I wanted to talk about that I feel like not a lot of people are not talking about is that women after 40, having chronic exhaustion, disconnection, and feeling like you're on an emotional rollercoaster can be a huge piece of perimenopause.
I'm specifically talking about how when you have had traumatic events in your past; large, medium, small. What can happen when you don't process them because you've been busy building your successful life and doing all the things.
What happens with our body and these unprocessed emotions, holistic or functional medicine doctors are finding studies about how emotions can get stuck in your body.
When that happens, you have specific feelings in your body.
Over time, these feelings can manifest into symptoms, dysfunctions, diseases and illnesses.
When you have negative recurring thoughts that you just think over and again without addressing it, then it becomes a belief.
Then when you have specific beliefs and you operate in specific ways, and you might find yourself then getting stuck in these thought patterns. You notice you have things you're thinking, doing, or saying on repeat and it's hard to stop.
On top of that, studies show we have around 80,000 thoughts a day, and the majority of them are negative.
If you have these negative thoughts and beliefs stuck on repeat, you're looping and creating deeper neural pathways. Now your hormones are shifting, so you have all of these things going on all at once.
Talk therapy is great, however, I've worked with clients who've found great success more quickly.
When we do these proven processes of actually clearing negative emotions from the root.
I'll have to show you a video of what I'm talking about with the gestalt; if you have an overflowing glass of water, imagine the water as overflowing emotions (from years of unprocessed emotions).
When you clear this gestalt in your subconscious mind, then you can clear the years, decades or even generations of this built up of emotions, negative thinking, negative habits and sabotaging behaviors with this proven process within minutes.
The last piece I'm going to talk about that nobody else is really talking about is how you can pay all the money, hire all the people, take all the things, do everything "perfect" but if you don't do this one thing, it's gonna be really hard to get to the root of it.
This one thing is awareness.
You build awareness by first becoming so in tune with the things you're thinking on repeat.
The way you can easily do this is by journaling.
I love journaling.
First it slows down the energy of the emotion when you write it down.
It works if you write it down.
It works if you type it.
If that isn't your thing, you could do a voice note.
That's very helpful as well, whatever you do, make it so you can refer back to it because besides getting out of your head and getting it out somewhere, you want be able to refer back to it.
You can start to see those patterns. You can start to really see - I'm thinking this negative thought, I'm believing this limiting pattern.
Then you start to gain momentum with being able to change those things once you're actually aware.
If you liked these points I talked about, I'm excited to share more with you next time.
